At Fenway, we teach company directors how to swing on a trapeze.

In the boardroom, life is a series of leaps of faith where you are forced to release the familiar and reach for the new. You have to let go, leap into the dark and grab for the next trapeze.

Linda Ackerman describes this as life in the ‘…’ and it is never easy. High fliers start see how high they have climbed and start to fear the fall. Others just don’t want to let go of what has stood them in good stead for so long. Others cannot get ‘in synch’ or simply cannot see the next trapeze.

Our job is to help MDs and their boards deal with all those issues - to gain clarity, enhance their skill, build momentum and enjoy the occasional shove.
